With over 8 years of experience in both the industry and teaching, I’ve had the joy of sharing this beautiful art form with hundreds of students locally and internationally. Through this 4-day hands-on intensive course, I’ll guide you step by step, whether your goal is to elevate your skills, start your own cake business, or simply experience the joy of creating stunning edible art.
Perfecting your piping techniques — You’ll learn essential methods to create detailed, lifelike flowers—each petal shaped with precision using authentic Korean-style techniques. This part of the course is highly hands-on with personalized feedback. I offer custom-paced, one-on-one guidance throughout, ensuring you fully understand each step—from basic petal forms to complex multi-layered flowers. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, you'll be supported at your own level to build confidence and mastery.
How to make the perfect buttercream —A critical element for achieving clean, defined shapes. During class, I will demonstrate how to create a buttercream that has the right structure and stability to hold intricate flower forms, while still being smooth, light, and delicious. You’ll learn the balance between texture and taste—so your flowers not only look beautiful but are a joy to eat as well.
Color palette and mixing techniques— I’ll introduce an innovative and easy method to build beautiful, natural-looking palettes without the guesswork. You’ll learn how to blend tones efficiently and confidently, with minimal waste, to bring your flowers to life in a soft, harmonious way. These techniques will help you achieve the subtle, refined look that defines Korean-style buttercream flowers.
Flower arrangement and cake composition—Learning how to place each bloom in a way that feels balanced, natural, and visually stunning. You’ll explore how to create movement, elevation, and rhythm within your designs, bringing your arrangements to life with a sense of flow and dimension. Understanding these principles is key to turning individual flowers into a beautiful, cohesive composition that feels both organic and intentional.

You’ll also be introduced to bean paste, an innovative material that offers a different textural quality and opens up new creative possibilities for buttercream design. It allows you to push the limitations of traditional buttercream flowers, enabling finer details and more sculptural forms that are difficult to achieve with buttercream alone.
